Visitors can stroll downtown brick streets, take a look at WPA-era artwork in the local post office building, or view restoration progress on the Grand Theatre, a 1920 movie and vaudeville house. Official historical markers adorn both the Grand and City Hall, the first brick building in Electra. A '50s-era oil derrick is lighted for the Christmas holidays and is the setting for summer's "Gig Under the Rig," live music on first Friday evenings from May to August.
