Visitors can stroll downtown brick streets, take a look at WPA-era artwork in
the local post office building, or view restoration progress on the Grand
Theatre, a 1920 movie and vaudeville house. Official historical markers adorn
both the Grand and City Hall, the first brick building in Electra. A '50s-era
oil derrick is lighted for the Christmas holidays and is the setting for
summer's "Gig Under the Rig," live music on first Friday evenings from May to
August.
