Housed in the handsome, restored jail, circa 1887, the museum interprets life
of the early settlers with farm and forest implements, household articles,
historic photos, weapons and law enforcement artifacts. Cell block, hangman's
drop and jailer's quarters still exist. The building is listed in the National
Register of Historic Places. Open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Thu.–Sat. On Slade Street in
